what’s happening

Last week, Vermont’s Legislature designated October 6, 2020 as Vermont Mask Day! During the week of October 5-9, nonprofits across the state are coming together to celebrate Mask Day, promote mask use, and educate the public on Keeping Vermont Safe from COVID-19. 

To raise awareness and promote continued mask use, Masks4Missions is sponsoring $5,000 of prize money for the best masks and Instagram posts supporting mask use in Vermont.  

The winners will be announced at the Vermont Mask Day GRACE POTTER concert on Friday, October 9, 2020. There are three tiers of cash prizes*:

• Gold: $1000 cash prize

• Silver: $500 cash prize

• Bronze: $100 cash prize

how you can win

1. Follow Masks4Missions on Instagram: @masks4missions

2. Create an Instagram post either (a) promoting mask use or (b) showing your mask art/design (for mask/art design entries, your mask should include “Vermont Mask Day” somewhere in the design).

3. In your post, please tag @masks4missions, #vtmaskday, two Instagram friends, and a Vermont nonprofit you support (if you win they win!)

4. Multiple entries are allowed.

DEADLINE:  All Instagram Contest submissions must be made by 11:59pm (EDT) on October 8, but some prizes will be awarded earlier in the week, so submit ASAP.

*Note: By posting, you are giving Vermont Mask Day/Masks4Missions permission to share images of your work via social media, digital projection at the GRACE POTTER Vermont Mask Day Concert, and to include your work and references to the work in any press releases. You will retain the copyright claims as to your artwork.
